Dr. Melvin Jackson is one of six children born to McKinley and Louise Jackson. He is a native Baltimorean and a graduate of the Baltimore City Public School System.

"Pastor Melvin", as he is affectionately called, loves the Lord and values education. He holds several degrees including an Associate of Arts Degree from the Community College of Baltimore, a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Arts degree from Morgan State University, a Master of Divinity Degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ohio.

Pastor Melvin formerly served as a "Facilities Manager" at the Camden Yards Sports Complex Center, the home of Oriole Park and M&T Bank Stadium in downtown Baltimore. In October 2002, he answered God’s call on his life and preached his initial sermon entitled, "Do you love Him?" Since then, God has elevated him to serve as a shepherd and pastor.

Pastor Melvin is united in matrimony with Lady Dorethea Jackson, they have one son, Donald Chambers, one daughter, Tunia Hammonds, one son in-law, Husani Hammonds, and three grandchildren, Kayla and Aiden Hammonds, and Donald Chambers III.

Pastor Melvin loves the Lord with all his heart, mind and soul, and he loves his church, family, and friends. He is a humble, spirit-filled man of God who has come to serve and to bless the people of God. In January 2015, God blessed Pastor Melvin and Lady Dorethea Jackson to birth a new ministry called "ChristChurch and Ministries," where there is no separation between Christ and the Church and where love freely abides.
